Summary

This post formalizes the IDLE balance snapshot as part of the brand migration to Pareto.

Background

In December 2024, we outlined a new course for Idle, focusing on the credit vertical paired with brand renewal and new tokenomics.

Pareto is building the foundation for an adaptive credit coordination layer, empowering individuals and programs to underwrite and borrow on-chain. In simpler terms, this means enabling a “real-world” economy to operate seamlessly on DeFi rails. Unlike traditional DeFi, which excels in managing digital assets, Pareto focuses on coordinating the economic layer of real world assets and services on-chain.

Next Steps: $IDLE to $PAR Migration Process

1. Governance Vote on the Proposal: This proposal will be submitted for a governance vote on Snapshot shortly after its publication, allowing the community to decide on the transition.
2. IDLE Snapshot: A snapshot of IDLE and stkIDLE balances (considering also balances held on DEXs as LP) across the Ethereum mainnet will be taken on 2025-01-10T23:59:00Z 2025-01-17T23:59:00Z. All IDLE balances on Polygon must be transferred to Ethereum before the snapshot to be included in PAR allocations. Additionally, all stkIDLE balances will be considered unlocked and proportionally converted to PAR. This snapshot may represent the final opportunity for existing IDLE holders to secure their position in Pareto’s ecosystem, making it a critical moment to get on board. These balances will determine PAR allocations, with the target launch scheduled for the end of Q1 2025. This timeline ensures sufficient preparation and coordination with centralized and decentralized exchanges, investors, potential partners, and other stakeholders, setting Pareto up for a successful debut.
3. stkIDLE Rewards: To reward current and future stakers, stkIDLE will offer a 3% increase in PAR allocations for either current or new holders staking their IDLE into stkIDLE before the snapshot date. This bonus recognizes the contributions of existing stkIDLE participants while encouraging broader engagement in governance and long-term commitment.

The IDLE balance snapshot has been taken on Ethereum at block 21647649 and Polygon (as an exception with what was previously communicated) at block 66827680 for these token addresses:

IDLE holders are encouraged to verify their reported balances.

If any discrepancies are found, they can submit a review request via this form, providing their wallet address, reported balance, and actual balance. The team will review all claims and adjust the public snapshot summary if necessary.
